Nova Scotia
Folk Club Bristol
We are delighted to announce our next guest, who will be at the Nova Scotia on Monday 23 December. It will be the excellent Si Barron, who is very well-known in this part of the country, since he used to leave nearby and visit us often. Since he moved away, we have really missed him. But this night will be the chance for everybody to remind themselves of how brilliant this guy is. He sings with a lovely clear voice and plays astonishingly complicated guitar while he is singing.
If you would like to come along, please make sure you book a seat by emailing John Blake at johnlenblake@outlook.com, or PM him on Facebook.

Our last guest night at the Nova Scotia Folk Club was on Monday 23 September. It was our talented old friend Andy Danford, who is very well known at the club, having helped to run the show for quite a long time, before moving away from Bristol earlier this year.
We had missed him, and were all looking forward to seeing him again, singing a mixture of his own songs and well-known standards, complete with his guitar, banjo and harmonica. And he didn't disappoint. His mixed repertoire brought back lots of memories, and he called James Slater up to join him for some excellent songs at the end.
