Nova Scotia
Folk Club Bristol

The management at the Nova Scotia have now decided to postpone all use of the function room, until the refurbishment work is completely finished. They have not mentioned how long this might take, so in the meantime we will revert again to a Nova zoom each Monday.
The Nova Scotia Folk Club is Bristol's oldest club. It meets every Monday of the year. Doors open at 7.30pm and the music starts at 8.00 prompt! All performances are acoustic and we welcome players and singers of different abilities whether beginners or the hugely talented. So bring your instrument and come along. If you are not a performer, come along anyway as you are sure to be in for an evening of great entertainment. The entry fee is just £1 on open stage nights and £3 on guest nights.
Normal club nights provide floor spots on a first come, first serve basis. If you arrive on time you are guaranteed two songs, sometimes more depending on numbers. Approximately every six weeks we have guest nights where the guest performer is offered either a 30 minute or one hour set. Plenty of floor spots are still available on these nights.
The club meets upstairs at the Nova Scotia public house, a historic nineteenth century pub adjacent to the Cumberland Basin on Bristol's Harbourside. The address is: 1 Nova Scotia Place, Bristol BS1 6XJ.
